Long-distance move from North Hollywood, CA to Kihei, HI

Stay The Fuck Away!!

YOOOOO! STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY CON-ARTIST! Other alias names are: city moving company, move happy moving company, guardian moving company and another one I can't remember..but STAY THE FUCK AWAY! ..I got ripped off with my truck transportation financial bill when I had to drop it off at Matson. Then they damaged my bike when it arrived yesterday. They "claim" or "advertise" they are professional but after taking a chance with them, I learned in my experience these guys false advertise their services. Actions speak louder than words and its a dangerous game they are playing with good, hard working peoples money the way they do. I hope I'm the last review for this company so no one else has to go through this. The BBB needs to investigate and shut down this company.

Long-distance move from Texas to Hawaii

Dishonest.

They lied about using subcontractors in order obfuscate their liability. See Case Number 3RC 13-1-495 in the Superior Court of the State of Arizona filed by the Moulton Law Firm, P.C.

They are comfortable telling lies. If they can stall an insurance company like State Farm and put off a law firm, what do you think your chances are?

Local move within Arizona

I will always choose Cardinal.

I moved with Cardinal 3 times and Ihave had pretty good experiences so far. One of the times there was damage to my TV screen, but it was just tape that came off with cleaner. This last move about a month ago was the best yet. We had three guys, their names were Jose g., Frank, and Payton, who were so friendly and easy to work with. They made the move so easy. They were also easy to communicate with and took care of our stuff as if it were their own. They were courteous, hard-working and respectful, and my 70" television was moved without a hitch! If I could be guaranteed to get these three guys again, I will always choose Cardinal.

Long-distance move from California to Pennsylvania

Thank you for saving me money..

Recently my best friend/roommate decided to move out to Hawaii to attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The semester was 1 week away from beginning so she had no time to pack a lot of her big items that she wanted to take along with her. Since her birthday was coming up in a few weeks I decided I would surprise her by shipping everything that belonged to her out to her new apartment ( she already spent a lot of money during her move as well as school tuition). I was moving out with my boyfriend and she had bought most of the items in our house so I knew it would make her happy. I had no idea on how to make this move happen. Fortunately, a friend of mine had use Cardinal Moving Systems about a couple months ago ( she's from Arizona) and she recommended them to me. I have this thing with trusting companies who promise you the world but don't even give you a minute of their time, so instantaneously I did some research before calling them. I found a few other companies but they were way too over priced and rude. I needed to send her a lot of items yes but I knew I could find a better deal. So I went ahead and called this company. I believe Crystal was the phone operator's name. She was very kind, understanding and knew what she was talking about (unlike those other companies I shall not name) So I had a huge list of items I needed shipped out to my friend in Hawaii. She gave me a quote and I just couldn't turn it down. I was actually shocked and thought maybe this was all some sort of hoax. The day of the pick up a very nice man( can't remember his name) called me and let me know his estimated time of arrival and actually arrived a little bit sooner. He helped me unplug the laundry machine because I did not know how to and loaded everything else that was going to be shipped out in the truck. He handled all the items carefully and very gently, even items that could have just been tossed and wouldn't brake. I don't remember how long it took to deliver but I know my best friend called me crying. She was super excited and happy about the surprise delivery that I had placed for her. She told me all her items were in perfect condition and that she was very pleased with their services. This review I would save is from the both of us. I have used other great moving companies before but none like Cardinal. They have outstanding customer service and really care about their clients. I am so happy I actually stuck with them and even till now I am shocked about how wonderful their pricing was. To all the other disappointed customers, I'm not too sure of what happened but I don't see how anyone wouldn't be happy with these people. Thank you for saving me money, and helping me help my friend be happy. You guys are the best..

Long-distance move from Arizona to Hawaii

This moving company is definitely recommended!

The movers were very professional, warm and friendly. They provided the service I needed from A-Z. They happened to make me feel very secure with everything. They showed a lot of respect to all of my belongings and took great responsibility. This moving company is definitely recommended! They packed and moved all of my furniture including some heavy furniture very fast, nothing took time at all. Nothing got broken throughout the move either. Everything was in good position and now I know that I will be able to trust this moving company again for all my future moves.

Long-distance move from New York to Hawaii

Beware Predatory Business !

BEWARE-PREDATORY BUSINESS !
Cardinal Moving Systems charged me double than they quoted me for a move from New York City to Hawaii.
Their agent never came to assess the property that needed to be moved, although they claimed they have an office in the New York area.
The salesman from Cardinal Moving Systems gave me an assessment over the phone and told me it will cost me $2664.35 total. That was a lie.
On the day of the move, after the moving crew packed everything in the truck, and locked it, the foreman told me I was over the quote and overcharged me for a total of $5650.85
That was $3000 more than quoted and I had to pay, since the truck was packed and locked. Typical moving scam, as I later read on www.moving.com. The fine print contract stipulates that every extra cubic feet will be charged $10.
After I paid in full, the moving company grossly mishandled my property and destroyed over 26 items to include Vintage Herodyne Radio, Vintage Gossip Bench, chairs which the moving workers pilled one on top of each other and then wrapped, Tiffany lamp, armoire, an antique Tal Tree Coat rack hanger whose iron hooks were broken in half, crystal glasses, Lennox Abigail dinner plates, antique Gingerbread Wall clocks, not to mention even an antique Hamilton pocket watch that was wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a cigar box.
The boxes were all severely damaged and were proof of how badly my property was mishandled. On top of the quote scam, the moving company added at least $3000 in property damage.
I filled an extensive claim in November 2015 and only in June 2016 I received a settlement letter after many inquiries. It was in the amount of $150.60. After all this company has done wrong, now they added insult to injury and offered me $150.60 and a release form to release them from all future claims, law suits, complaints or bad reviews. They can keep their ridiculous settlement and I keep my right to post reviews and complaints to any and all websites or Government Agencies.
My advice, STAY AWAY ! Look for a reputable company, that has an office where you live.
Cardinal Moving Systems needs to be shut down and all their agents fined for misleading customers.

Long-distance move from Saint Louis, MO to Honolulu, HI

Not Impressed.

If you like 3rd party moving companies and insurance who don't care and want to rip you off then this is the company for you!
Called to get a quote then read the reviews and called to cancel everything based on what I read about the 3rd party movers trying to charge per step and what not. They then assured me this would not happen to me. IT DID ANYWAY.
I was supposed to be moving around Halloween but got a call from them saying they didn't have anyone to move due to the holiday..apparently moving company's are big into halloween. After calling and arguing with the company they were able to pull a miracle and find a moving company. The pick up in St. Louis was 2 young kids who came in a counted all the boxes then started taping them up after the 1st box was moved the leader came up and asked me to sign the form to charge me for the stair fee. I immediately had to stop everything and call the company to figure out why this was happening. They then had to call the movers and tell them not to try that on us. They started moving the boxes down the stairs and one of the movers kicked 2 of the boxes down the stairs. My boyfriend ended up moving more boxes than either of the paid movers. I also had set up to pay w my credit card but the moving company in St. Louis couldn't do this so I had to find time to call the company and set a payment up. Fast forward to 45 days later my things were still not in Hawaii where I relocated to. The company kept telling me due to the holidays my things would be delayed by 2 weeks. They finally showed up mid January. 6 of my boxes had lost the labels and the moving company almost gave away one of my boxes to the previous people they delivered to. The moving company in Hawaii kept talking about the 5 stairs we have like they wanted to charge us but didn't. Its just annoying to have them do this. The plastic bins I had all were broken on the bottom. Upon unpacking my microwave doesn't work properly, you open the door and it just starts microwaving. Also the furniture they packed was dinged and dented. I paid for the additional insurance thinking this would cover me and I would be covered. But when I filed my claim they said microwaves could only be covered if the outside was damaged so mine would be covered. Then plastic bins aren't covered at all so if you can avoid moving them do so. Also for the "upgraded" insurance you have to have 250.00 in damages in order to even qualify for getting money to cover damaged items. Basically if you want a moving company that doesn't care about you this is the one! I should have paid a little extra and packed a pod my self.

Long-distance move from Hawaii to Oregon

Still Waiting!!

This review is based on our experiences thus far..first we called and got the information for our vehicle, which was supposed to take 3 weeks, approximately, from shore to shore. Ok, we thought, let's ship it early enough so that it is available for pick up right after we land back on the mainland. Nothing was mentioned during the transaction period that we would be charged a daily fee to store our vehicle once it got there. Alas..the sucking away of our hard earned dollars had begun. Our truck arrived in lightspeed time..we started getting calls and emails daily telling us to pick up our truck. LOL, we still had 2 weeks until we flew off the island. We had to pay them to hold our truck for us, even though THEY misquoted the time it would take for it to ship. Included in the process were all of the hassles of miscommunication between the sales people, us, and the actual shipping people. Harrowing moments spent making desperate phone calls to the main office for info. There was an area at the shipping depot where all of the desperate customers went, a sort of 'freak out and call your salesperson lounge', where all of the customers were gathered making loud and shrill voiced calls to their respective 'contacts' regarding their vehicles. Wow! I went to the rental car and let my fiancee do the dance of desperation with all the other people. SO! THEN..being the kind of folks who like simple, friendly, and helpful sales people..well, of course we booked our household move with Cardinal..yay! We liked Frank. The projected time frame from HI house to OR house was 3-4 weeks..we assumed it would be a bit longer, figured in the cost of rental furniture on both ends, paper supplies for our dining needs, and calculated the best date to schedule pickup in HI so as to alleviate a long lag on the other end (the family is travelling all over the place and we didn't want to leave grandma at home to tend to the movers..she's 82 for crying out loud!) And, here I sit..its been a day or two shy of 4 weeks..haven't heard a word. My fiancee called them this morning and was told 'well, we are running at least 21 days out..so, it could be 3-6 weeks..we'll call you.' NO FREAKING WAY! Now my 82 year old mother in law, and her caretaker (luckily she is just turning 50 and is disabled,,,much better to deal with the movers), get to deal with the movers, cuz the rest of us young and spry folk in our clan will be travelling. SO: caveat; IF you plan to spend more money on your vehicle shipping than planned, plus the joy of getting dunning calls from the reception site, and include that into your budget..plus..click click of the calculator keys..add 45 days to the quoted time for your furniture move, by all means, use this company! Overall, it was the hardest thing EVER, to move from Oahu to the mainland..crying teens, sad grandma who doesn't want to be chilly, even us adults who will miss plate lunches, slippers, and even 'Hawaiian time', mahalo very much..but to have the wonder of these added benefits? Well, I would rather have known what I was dealing with..oh, wait, I thought it did! LOL. Stay tuned..after I go call Rent-A-Center and design some furniture out of household garbage I will start a little journal of the days I spend waiting. Eventually I will try to provide the total time for our move,if and when it ever happens (I hold faith that we will actually get our stuff), and post it for all on this site to see. Oh, wait, an afterthought: I don't think we even got a list from the movers in HI (who were AWESOME, they were the greatest..seriously, they did the job for Cardinal,,darn, who were they? I will check) for our total count (boxes/furniture.) I would double check with the big guy, but he took mom out for a jog and power lifting class in prep for her big day with the movers.

Long-distance move from California to Nevada

Lies and non communication from Cardinal and R L Wilson (transporter:).

This  company doesn't know what it's doing.  had to call them when I picked up my truck in Maui because it was assigned to be picked up by a Laura and NOT BY ME.   When I shipped my truck back to Henderson, NV  there were delays after delays and Cardinal and Ronnie the dispatcher lied saying my truck was going to be picked up on New Year's Eve (12/31/12) and delivered by 3pm to NV on the same day.  Call after call was never returned to me and I made8 calls to Cardinal one day and 5 the previous day.   These guys are a joke.  they alreay have my monies and really don't seem to care one bit about me and their ad saying that the move would be stress free is even a bigger joke.
aS OF TODAY 12/31/12 1pm a new person on the end of the phone says:  the truck will be picked up on wednesday and delivered to me on thursday.

This company should be reported to the Dept of Transportation
if for no other reason than they are ALL INCOMPETENT!!

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.  THEY ARE THE WORST.
